Building a connection with clients online
We’ve said this before; legal consumers are turning online first to find a lawyer they can reach out to. Digital is your first point of contact with a prospect, so you need to make sure not only that you have an online presence but that you’re coming across as trustworthy.
So what can you do to build trust online?
Make sure you’re not building a wall between you and them. Showing off a more human side goes a long way – avoid being overly “corporate.” Try to display what makes you and your firm unique and display it across your social channels, your website and your digital marketing campaigns. Are you particularly passionate about a certain cause? What’s your expertise in and has someone written an online review backing that up? Does your firm hold gatherings like picnics, baseball games etc. for the team? Whatever it is show it off.
Building a connection online can seem intimidating but without it you can pretty much say goodbye to prospects starting their search online (which is most). For more on how you can build trust and a connection online read “Emotion’s role in content.”
